THE Philippines were in the Team Draw Ceremony held July 23 in the football matchups for the 20th Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026 slated on September 19 to October 14.
The PH football Men’s team mentored by Coach Carles Cuadrat is in Group C together with Vietnam, Uzbekistan and Kuwait.
Group A is composed of Japan, Thailand, Hong Kong and Kyrgyzstan while Group B is China, United Arab Emirates, Iran and DPR Korea.
Group D is the Republic of Korea, Saudi Arabia and Qatar.
The PH women’s team under Coach Mark Gabriele Torcaso, on the other hand, is listed in Group G with China, Uzbekistan and Hong Kong.
Group E is bannered by Japan, Taipei, Vietnam and Thailand while Group F is composed of South Korea, DPR Korea, Bangladesh and Myanmar.
