Manila---Chezka "The Flash" Centeno toppled former world champion Kelly Fischer of Great Britain, 9-6, to rule the just ended 2026 Oneida WPA Women's World 8-Ball Championship held in Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA on Sunday, July 26, 2026.
The win gives Centeno her third individual world championship, adding the 2026 Women's World 8-Ball title to her 2027 and 2023 WPA Women's World 10-Ball crowns.
She received the top prize $30,000 for her efforts.
On the road to the finals, Centeno defeated Ada Lio of the USA, 7-2, Reigning World 9-ball champion Seo Seo of South Korea, 7-5, Jasmin Ouschan of Austria, 8-4, in the Last 16, compatriot Rubilen Amit, 8-6, in the Last 8 and Tzu-Chien Wei of Chinese-Taipei, 8-6, in the Last 4.
"Ma, I did it. Para sa'yo to. Thank you, everyone, for all the love, prayers and support. 2026 Women's 8-Ball World Champion. All Glory is Yours," said the 27-year-old Centeno, who hails from Zamboanga City. (Marlon Bernardino)
