P1 million at stake in DC Trail Ultra

A TOTAL of ₱1 million worth is at stake in the DC Trail Ultra set on July 25-26 at the Baguio District in Calinan, Davao City.

"The top male and female finishers in the 50-kilometer will receive P40,000 each,” said City Sports Development Division head Mikey Aportadera.

The second will get P30,000, third P20,000, fourth P15,000, fifth P10,000, sixth P5,000, seventh P4,000, eighth P3,000, ninth P2,000 and tenth P1,300.

The first placers in the 25km category will have P25,000 each.

In 12km, the first placers will receive P18,000.

The second P12,000, third P10,000, fourth P7,000, fifth P5,000, sixth P3,000, seventh P2,000, eighth P2,000, ninth P1,500 and tenth P1,000.

The first placers in 5km will earn P10,000,

The second P8,000, third P6,000, fourth P4,000, fifth P3,000, sixth P2,000, seventh P1,500, eighth P1,000, ninth P800 and tenth P700.

The top three in each distance will receive the official DC Trail Ultra cap.

“This is in recognition of their outstanding performance, determination and achievement. Built for the bold,” said Aportadera.

Around 3,000 runners from across Mindanao and other regions are expected.

There will be 415 long distance runners in the 50km race while the rest of the lung busters are 1,006 in the 25km, 750 in 12km and 424 in 5km.
