Germo, Turno rule 34th Yakult 10-Miler Trilogy Davao

LOUIE Germo and Analyn Turno topped the 34th Yakult 10-Miler Trilogy Davao held today July 12 𝐚𝐭 the 𝐃𝐚𝐯𝐚𝐨 𝐆𝐥𝐨𝐛𝐚𝐥 𝐓𝐨𝐰𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 in Matina, Davao City.

Germo clocked one hour, five minutes, 25 seconds to rule the men’s division in the 16-kilometer.

Second was Marlon James Alberto [1:07:25] followed by Jem Boiser [1:10:55].

Germo was supposed to finish only second behind Rico Bansilan [1:03:43].

“But it was found out that Bansilan had used another name,” said race director Kenneth Sai of KinetixSports.

Turno, on the other hand, had a time of 1:22:26 to win the distaff side.

“The route was very challenging—it's still coastal, the wind is very strong, and there are still a lot of climbs. Every kilometer tested my endurance, but through the Lord, I was able to do it,” said Turno.

Easther Familar [1:25:01] and Jade Cuna [1:25:58] were second and third, respectively.

Eight others were also disqualified for the same offense.

The event was organized by Hyve Sports in coordination with KinetixSports.
