Turki Al-Sheikh.
Turki Al-Sheikh, now head of boxing at Saudi Arabia's General Entertainment Authority (GEA), has announced that fights at Riyadh Season events will no longer be broadcast on pay-per-view (PPV) and will instead be streamed for free on DAZN for subscribers.
It has been reported that discussions took place with DAZN, and an agreement was reached to suspend pay-per-view events to protect boxing and its millions of fans.
The free events will begin with the Ring Magazine event next November, while PPV events will continue on their scheduled dates until November.
It is expected that upcoming fights featuring Mexican boxing superstar Canelo Álvarez will be among the free-to-air events.
