Former Olympic gold medalist and former world champion Yuriolis Gamboa (30-5, 18 KOs), 44, appears ready for his return to professional boxing after reports indicated he would continue fighting bare-knuckle bouts.
Gamboa will return on May 30 against Ecuadorian Alexander Espinoza (20-5-1, 9 KOs) at the War Memorial Auditorium in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Gamboa resides in Miami and is also known to have a contract with BKB Bare Knuckle Boxing, where he is expected to make his bare-knuckle debut.
Another former Olympic and world champion, Guillermo Rigondeaux (23-3, 16 KOs), 45, will face Chilean José Velázquez (34-13-3, 24 KOs), 35.
