WBC Commemorative belt ¨Tollan Tlatequi¨ at stake on Benavidez-Ramirez super fight

The tradition of the World Boxing Council's (WBC) commemorative belt, celebrating Mexican Independence Day on May 5th with the "Tollan Tlatequi" (a traditional Toltec symbol), will be awarded to the winner of the fight between David Benavidez and Gilberto "Zurdo" Ramírez, which will take place on May 2nd in the United States.

The WBC pays homage to Toltec culture and the historical legacy of Hidalgo, drawing inspiration from the ancient city of Tollan-Xicocotitlan, a military, social, and political center of the Toltec civilization. The belt incorporates elements representing Toltec warriors and the glory reserved for the winner, while also reflecting and preserving loyalty, dignity, courage, and honor, along with the values ​​of the WBC.

The belt will be presented at a special ceremony in Mexico City.
