Magramo excited to fight Rementizo for new PBO title

FORMER OPBF super flyweight champion Giemel “Pistolero” Magramo of Paranaque City is “very excited to fight” Marco John “Merciless” Rementizo of Cagayan de Oro City for the new vacant Philippine Boxing Organization super flyweight title on April 30 at the Okada Manila in Paranaque City.

“I hope that I will win,” said the 31-year-old Magramo [31-5-0, 24KOs].

The PBO super flyweight championship belt is beautiful with the picture of 8-division champion Manny Pacquiao.

PBO is the newest boxing body dedicated to the growth, development, and promotion of the sport across all levels—from grassroots to elite competition.

“I don't want to say. But I think the fight will be good,” said Magramo.

Magramo said that he just practiced hard for the fight.

Magramo recently claimed the vacant Philippine super flyweight title by retiring Arnold Garde of President Roxas in the 5th round last December 20 at the Elorde Sports Complexin Paranaque.

Rementizo [15-5-0,12KOs], on the other hand, lost to DianXing Zhu by a 3rd round knockout in the WBO Global minimum last March 16, 2024 at Grand Ho Tram Stripin Vung Tau.

Rementizo won the WBC Asian light flyweight title by knocking out Danai Ngiabphukhiaw in the 6th round last June 24, 2023 in Bangkok.

The event is “Blow byBlow” by Manny Pacquiao of MP Promotions and honorary chairman of PBO.
