On Tuesday, April 21, it was revealed that former Olympian and former world champion Lawrence Okolie, 33 (23-1, 17 KOs), tested positive for a banned substance in a doping control test days before his fight against 2016 French Olympic gold medalist Tony Yoka, 33 (15-3, 12 KOs), at the Adidas Arena in Paris XVIII this Saturday, April 25. The event was organized by Queensberry and broadcast on DAZN.
The Voluntary Anti-Doping Association (VADA) reportedly sent the results to Queensberry, indicating that Lawrence Okolie tested positive after undergoing a doping test.
Okolie is the number one contender for Ukrainian world champion Oleksandr Usyk.
