Filipino minimumweight Renden 'Take Over' Oppas (5-1, 4 KOs) traveled to Melbourne, Australia, and outclassed tough Aussie fighter Kha Lu (9-3, 4 KOs) in an exciting eight-round non-title bout, scoring a unanimous decision win on Saturday, April 11, at The Melbourne Pavilion.
From the opening bell, Oppas showcased his superior skills, outlanding and outmaneuvering the strong Lu to take all three scorecards (80-72, 77-75, 79-73). The 25-year-old Baguio native dominated the entertsining fight, with no knockdowns or cuts in sight.
Guided by popular boxing manager Darwin Miller Dapay, Oppas proved he's becoming a force to be reckoned with in the 105-pound division.
Congratulations to Renden Oppas and the Pinoy Boxing Prodigy Team from Philboxing, 🇵🇭 the Filipino Boxing Portal.
