In a crucial battle, Filipino former champ Marlon “Nightmare” Tapales has the mission of squaring off tough and experienced Yukinori Oguni over 10 rounds of action this Friday, April 3, at the Korakuen Hall in Tokyo Japan.
A win by Tapales over the taller 37-year-old Oguni will surely improve the odds for the Lanao del Norte featherweight southpaw to once again challenge for the world crown.
Can he beat Oguni as his many fans and his Sanman teammates want?
Marlon might need to press the action in the inside. Needs to come forward as he knows how to do. Hard and relentlessly. Non-stop. Using his fantastic technique and ring-savvy, the disciplined Tapales has good chances, even though he is fighting in his opponent’s backyard.
The show’s main event features Santiago vs Taniguchi in a world title clash promoted by Treasure Boxing in association with Tuto Zabala Jr. All Star Boxing, Inc.
The card will air live in Japan on U-Next, WAPA TV in Puerto Rico and ESPN KNOCKOUT in Latin America.
