Herlan Gomez faces Dekang Wang for WBA Asia Superbamtam Title Today in Kunming, China

Filipino super bantamweight Herlan Gomez and Chinese warrior Dekang Wang successfully made weight Wednesday for their WBA Asia Super Bantamweight Belt clash, set for Thursday, February 26, in cold Kunming in Southeastern China.

Herlan Gomez, slightly taller, stepped on the scale at 55.4 kilos (122 lbs), while Wang weighed in at 55.1 kilos (121.5 lbs).

Both 26-year-old fighters urgently want to score the important title win to bounce back from recent setbacks, and who will be the one to emerge victorious?

The 10-round war promises to be intense, with Gomez, from Bacolod, Negros Occidental, battling the aggressive Wang on his home city of Kunming, which today recorded a temperature of 16 degrees Celsius.

During fight time, Gomez will be coached by veteran Davao trainer Alexis Marvin Alegria.

Will the Pinoy warrior Herlan Gomez conquer Wang in his own backyard, or will the local Kunming fighter – who trains in Thailand – be the one to conquer the WBA Asia title win?

Philboxing.com wishes Herlan and his team the best of luck, Puso!
