Filipino Boxers Set for Action on Valentine's Day in Thailand

BANGKOK, Thailand — Five Filipino boxers are gearing up for a thrilling show in Bangkok, Thailand, on Valentine's Day, courtesy of Promoter Brico Santig of Highland Boxing Promotions.

Unbeaten young Manileño Alexander Almacen (3-0) makes his overseas debut against 20-year-old Phit Makdee (1-0) of Thailand in a 6-round minimuweight bout.

In addition, exciting former MMA fighter Rockie Bactol (4-2, 4 KOs) returns to the square ring against a yet-to-be-announced opponent in an 8-round middleweight clash.

Also, Zamboangueño light flyweight Alvin "Filemon" Dologuin (2-4-1, 2 KOs) faces a tough challenge against Kung Srirupramat (7-4, 3 KOs) in an 8-round battle at 108 pounds.

In his last fight, the southpaw "Filemon" scored an exciting round one TKO win. Will he claim victory again?

In another clash, veteran Jomar "Wallopman" Fajardo (19-18-2, 11 KOs) of Iloilo takes on Chanthapat Laohajaratsang (5-3, 4 KOs) of Thailand in a 6-round featherweight matchup.

Rookie flyweight Mark Jason Almacen (1-0, 1 KO) of Muntinlupa, Metro Manila, faces Saharat Agthong of Thailand in a 112-pound clash.

In the main event, undefeated Polish fighter Magdalena Szwed (6-0, 4 KOs) takes on a tough opponent in the super flyweight division.

Promoters for this exciting February 14 show are Brico Santig & Supanat Chanram.

The event is supervised by Thailand boxing officials chairman Worawuth Duankhao of the Thailand Sports Authority.
