Reigning World 10-ball Champion Filipino pool master Jonas Magpantay is set to represent the Philippines in the upcoming three International pool tournaments in Indonesia.
The 32-year-old standout from Barangay Kaunlaran, Cubao, Quezon City expressed his confidence that he can perform well in the prestigious tournament at the start of 2026.
"I will do my very best. For the flag and country," said the Bansud, Oriental Mindoro native Magpantay, a major awardee of the Philippine Sportswriter Association (PSA) awards night scheduled on February 16, 2026 after winning the Qatar World Cup 10 Ball last year in Doha, Qatar.
Magpantay is scheduled to play in the Asian Pool Championship from January 27 to 31, 2026 in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Another world champion Carlo Biado, AJ Manas and Kyle Amoroto also are vying in the said pool tournament.
Magpantay is also set to compete in the Carabao International Open on February 4 to 8, 2026 in Jakarta, Indonesia and the Kabupateh Semarang 9-ball Open on February 10 to 15, 2026 at Balai Agung Dusun Semilia Bawen, Kab. Semarang , Jawa Tengah, Indonesia.-Marlon Bernardino-
