Antaran beats Patac by Majority Decision

JOURNEYMAN Mark Glen Antaran of Malungon, Sarangani defeated Venjie Patac of Dinagat Islands by a majority decision last December 17 at Bucana in Davao City.

The 29-year-old Antaran landed more powerful punches against Patac in the six-round fight.

Judge Mario de Ramos scored 57-57 for a tie but Marlou Neri [58-56] and Lito delos Reyes [59-55] saw it in favor of Antaran.

Antaran improved his record to six wins against 11 loses and three draws while Patac suffered his 1oth defeat against two wins and one draw.

It was the first promotion by Ronan Jacob Palalisan with Rodel Garde as matchmaker.
