WORLD-RANKED Vince Paras of General Santos City is making a comeback on December 18 to face Anthony Gilbuela in an 8-round bout at the Bula Gym in Gensan.

The 26-year-old Paras recently lost to former IBF World and OPBF minimumweight champion Hiroto Kyoguchi of Japan by a majority decision last October 13 in Yokohama.

Paras, who is currently ranked International Boxing Federation no. 8 and World Boxing Council no. 14, has 21 wins with 15 knockouts, three loses and one draw.

Gilbuela, on the other hand, has eight wins, six loses, two draws and two knockouts.

He beat Anthony Galigao of Bohol by a unanimous decision last July 10 in Toledo City.

Gilbuela, however, bowed to Ramil Roda of Cebu by a majority decision last August 30, 2024 in Polomolok.

The Paras-Gilbuela bout is one of the supporting matches of the IBO World minimum weight title fight between former 3-time world champion Katsunari Takayama of Japan against undefeated Kha Lu of Australia in the main event.

It is a free Christmas Day presentation by the Sanman Boxing Production under Jean Claude Manangquil, John Ray Manangquil and Dexter Tan.
