RJP Boxing promotes in Bucana on Dec. 17

THE newly-formed RJP Boxing Promotion of Davao City will have its first promotion on December 17, Tuesday at Barangay 76-A Bucana, this city.

RJP Boxing Promotion, which was only formed last August, is owned by 41-year-old Ronan Palalisan.

“It's my first time managing a boxer and promoting boxing," said Palalisan.

The four boxers are undefeated super lightweight Jet Bruce Fornes [5-0-0-], Michael Bantayan Jr., super bantamweight Mark Glen Antaran and featherweight Marc Justin Vicente.

Eight bouts will be featured in the inaugural promotion at Bucana.

“I think I was influenced by my father, who is a boxing fan. I'm also a boxing fan. I like boxing,” said Palalisan, who is also a real estate businessman.

Palalisan was formerly a client of a boxing gym and does boxing for fitness only.

He now owns the RJP Boxing Gym located along McArthur Highway in Matina just beside PAL ticket office.

“I just hope no one will get seriously hurt. I pray for the safety of the fighters and I hope for the victory of my boxers,” said Palalisan.

WELCOME FOR BOXING.
