SARGUILLA INSPIRED BY WINS OF FELLOW FILIPINO BOXERS IN THAILAND

BANGKOK, Thailand -- Filipino super flyweight Romshane "Hammer" Sarguilla of Cotabato del Norte (the one in the center, wearing gloves), is flanked and inspired by the sensational victories of fellow Pinoy boxers in Thailand.

During his Sunday training session, Sarguilla was visited and encouraged by kababayan boxing brothers at the Highland Boxing Gym in Bangkok.

The 29-year-old Sarguilla, now living in Manila, is scheduled to rumble Thai warrior Xolieng Souvannaphakdy in a Highland Boxing Promotion show at the plush SpacePlus Night Club, RCA Plaza, in Bangkok, Thailand.

His mission is a non-title 6-chapter battle in the 115-lbs division.

Together with "Hammer" Sarguilla in the Philboxing photo are, from left to right: Antique's undefeated light flyweight Elmar "Samurai" Zamora (6-0, 4 KO's), Sarangani's former WBC Youth Champ Sonny Katiandagho, Super Flyweight Romshane "Hammer" Sarguilla, Romblon's welterweight Jose "Berdugo" Roda Jr., and Bicolano reigning ABF Welterweight Champion Ador Torres of Magdalena, Sorsogon.

Just last night Elmar "Samurai" Zamora and Jose "Berdugo" Roda Jr., claimed thrilling TKO wins over tough Thai foes during Pattaya's Fireworks Festival in Pattaya Beach, Thailand.

With their triumphs, Zamora and Roda have paved the way for more challenging commitments.

However, on Thursday will be Romshane Sarguilla's turn to climb the ring.

Will he be able to score an electrifying stoppage victory too?
