UNDEFEATED Criztian Pitt “Golden Boy” Laurente of General Santos City trains harder for his upcoming match against unbeaten Richard Bulacan of Davao City for the Philippine GAB Youth super featherweight championship on May 28 in Binan, Laguna.
The 22-year-old Laurente has sparred with southpaw Jhack “El Kapitan” Tepora (23-1-0, 17KOs) of Cebu and Ernie Sanchez (19-17-2, 10KOs) of General Santos City.
Laurente had sparring with Tepora last Saturday at the Wild Card Gym in Gensan.
“My sparring is OK. I learned a lot from them,” said Laurente, who has a total of nine wins with six knockouts.
Laurente recently scored a 2nd round knockout over Vicente Casido of Dumaguete City last February 26 at Sanman Gym in Gensan.
“Thanked God, I practiced very well,” said Laurente, who maintained his weigh-in.
Laurente and his father-trainer Titing will continue their training in Manila after the political elections in May.
He had three successful fights last year including Sanchez, who was stopped in the 5th round last October 23 at Bawing in Gensan.
Laurente earlier beat Ernesto Saulong of Santa Rosa City by a unanimous decision last March 20 in Binan City then scored a knockout on Kim Lindog of Bukidnon in the 3rd round last July 16 in Talisay City.
The Laurente-Bulacan 10-round fight is sponsored by PAGCOR and Bingo Plus.
