Demecillo fights Jimenez for WBO Asia Pacific Youth bantamweight title

DAVAO CITY ? Current Philippine Boxing Federation bantamweight Carlo Demecillo of Cebu will face compatriot Junrel Jimenez for the vacant World Boxing Organization Asia Pacific Youth bantamweight title on June 5 at the Robinson?s Galleria in Cebu City.

The 23-year old Demecillo (12W-5L-1D, 6KO) knockout Jeffrey Stella in the 4th round last Feb. 23, 2019 in Cebu.

He won the vacant PBF bantamweight by knocking out Margarito Moya in the 2nd round last May 23, 2018 in Bohol.

Jimenez (8W-1L-1D, 5KO), on the other hand, settled a majority draw with Elias Joaquino for the vacant PBF super flyweight title in Cebu last April 18, 2018.

He also knockout Moya in the 3rd round last July 8, 2017 in Mabolo.

The other bouts are: Clyde Azarcon (14W-2L-1D) vs. Ernesto Alera (5W-6L-1D) minimunweight (10 rds.); Virgel Vitor (13W-2L) vs. Jeffrey Stella (4W-7L-3D) featherweight (8 rds.); Rhonvex Capulong (5W-1L) vs. Mark Anthony Rotilles (2W-4L) featherweight (8 rds); Elmer Naason (1W-0L) vs, Matthew Fondales (1W-1L) super lightweight (4 rds).
