Gensan boxers rule PRISAA Nat'l Games

DAVAO CITY ? General Santos City from Region 12 won five golds plus two silvers and a bronze medal to emerge over-all champion in boxing in the on-going PRISAA National Games at the Palma Gil Elementary School.

GSC took the gold from flyweight Franz Carl Muyso (49.1-52 kg.), bantamweight RV Denega (52.1-56 kg.), lightweight El John dela Pena (56.1-60 k.), welterweight Darriel Leteral (60.1-64 kg.) and heavyweight Ranjo Napoles (81.1 above).

GSC also got the silver from middleweight Romel Bale (64.1-69 kg.) and light flyweight Dave Mark Sequino (46.1-49 kg.) while a bronze was settled by middleweight Bernardo Quimeging Jr. (69.1-75 kg.).

Cordillera Autonomy Region placed second with two golds courtesy of middleweight Arnold Chalis Jr. and light heavyweight Soleiman Abduramani Jr. (75.1-81 kg.).

The other golds were won by Region 11?s Paul Julyfer Bascon (64.1-69 kg.) and Region 7?s Shane Gentallan (46.1-49 kg.).

The other silver medalist were Region 7?s light welterweight Danjay Nietes, middleweight Nicholas Martin Butalid and heavyweight Jude Vincent Acog, Region 11?s bantamweight Curt Nelgy Manigsasa and lightweight Jomari Rubin.

Bronze medalists were light flyweight Kerubin Sungay (CAR) and Bryan Paul Chabit (R10), flyweight Wilfredo Padua Jr. (CAR) and Harold Sayson (R11), bantamweight Jomar Balagui (CAR) and Angilou Daloglog (R7), lightweight Angel Bonnie (CAR) and Novie James Pagaling (R10), light welterweight Jhon Marvin Lozada (R5) and Mark Andy Austria (R11), middleweight Bernardo Quimeging Jr. (R12) and Merlito Padilla (R11).
