Former Philippine Super Featherweight Champion James Bacon (W21 KO14 L3 D0) made a successful comeback in Cotabato City. The lanky fighter stopped Richard Betos in the fourth round of their match. Added bonus to the win was another chance at advancing his career by joining Sanman Boxing Stable.
For Sanman CEO Jim Claude Manangquil, Bacon is still a hot boxing prospect worth managing. ?James is still young. His few losses do not mean a thing in his chance to be world champion. As long as he sustains his hard work and discipline, he will become world champion?, Manangquil stated. Bacon has moved up in weight and now plans to compete in the Super Lightweight Division.
Another Sanman prospect won in the same fight card. Undefeated Jerry Francisco (W7 KO2 L0 D0) scored a 10 round unanimous decision over Reymark Taday.
So far it has been a great month for Sanman with the recent notable victories of Romero Duno, Raymart Gaballo and Ben Mananqui last weekend.
