About Edrin Dapudong

Edrin “The Sting” Dapudong (born in M’lang, North Cotabato, Philippines) is a Filipino super flyweight who became the province’s first world champion. A member of Manny Piñol’s Braveheart Boxing Club, he captured the IBO super flyweight title in Johannesburg on June 15, 2013, avenging a controversial loss to Gideon Buthelezi with a first‑round knockout. Dapudong also held the WBC Silver flyweight belt in 2010 and retired with a record of 35 wins, 8 losses, and 1 draw (21 KOs), remembered as North Cotabato’s “dream catcher” for fulfilling its long‑pursued world title dream.
